And the subtitle is better
After reading Raymond Kurzweil’s “The Singularity is Near” in 2011, our founder Fergal Nolan, a veteran in the tech and staffing industry, came to a profound awakening. The Singularity was not a distant myth but an impending reality. However, Nolan realised that there was a widening gap between the accelerating pace of technological advancement and the specialised talent needed to harness its full potential. This impending reality required a new type of talent to successfully staff the singularity.
With over 25 years of professional experience in hiring and consulting within the tech industry, Nolan wanted to do something different. He wanted to focus solely on the innovative potential of AI and data science for good. And so, in 2024, Banba was born: a dedicated AI and Data Science talent acquisition and advisory consultancy designed to connect mission driven organisations with mission driven people. Operating across the UK, Europe, US, UAE and Singapore, we align with the UN 2030 SDGs, exclusively partnering with organisations and talent committed to using technology to solve global challenges and drive sustainable innovation. Honesty and transparency form the basis of all our relationships.
We are experts in AI and data science.
Reciprocity is key. We don't just give back to the AI, Analytics & Data Science community - we are a part of it.
At Banba, we work with organisations and individuals that are solving the most pressing problems of today. An alignment of organisational and personal values, with a sense of mission. Engaging in purposeful work—where employees find meaning and alignment with their personal values—offers numerous benefits for both individuals and organisations.
Employees with meaningful work leads to increased retention, innovation, employee engagement, well-being, and revenue.
Research from Deloitte indicates that "mission-driven" companies have 30% higher levels of innovation and 40% higher levels of retention.
A study by McKinsey & Company found that employees who derive meaning from their work are more than three times as likely to stay with their organisations and are more productive.
Great Place to Work’s ‘The Power of Purpose in the Workplace’ report notes that connection to purpose drives better business outcomes when employees understand how their role connects to the organisation’s purpose.
The same report by Great Place To Work® emphasises that connecting employees with meaningful work leads to increased revenue.
